High Acre Farms, Shelburne, VT

I just spent a magical week at High Acres Farm in Shelburne, VT on a photography retreat. I did minimal photography, spending most of the time in the chef’s kitchen. I’m not really one to wear my heart on my sleeve, you’re more likely to find me in the kitchen with said sleeves rolled up making some delicious food to express my love, which is what I attempted to do for my fabulous friends.

Morning meditations led by Lara in the yoga loft, conversations with the deep questions posed by Carla over a glass of wine in the afternoon, afternoon tea with 11 different sandwich-fillings and home-made cheese straws by me, reading a good book by the fireplace carefully tended by Lindsay, late night grilled cheese with Melissa on clean-up duty, a crazy photoshoot on the snowy shores of Lake Champlain with Kate, long walks with crunchy snow underfoot, it was an unforgettable week.
